Case study: Research and innovation for digital health and care in Scotland
This research follows the work of a Scottish innovation organisation as it operates within a complex web of stakeholders to deliver digital health and care projects in Scotland. Working with this organisation provides opportunities to observe innovation in action, from the securing of funding and buy-in from collaborators, through project planning and public engagement, to design and delivery. Exploring these processes through the data-care-learning nexus will afford new understandings of how data futures are enacted in Scottish health and care, how innovation happens (or doesn’t happen) in this space, and how novel data practices reconfigure the patient-citizen.
